🇱🇰 7 Days – Culture & Highlands Journey
About This Experience
This week-long route is built for travelers who want real depth in both history and landscape, without needing three weeks to get it. It starts old and ends green.
The journey opens in Anuradhapura, one of the island’s original royal capitals, before moving on to Sigiriya to climb the rock fortress and explore the ruins scattered around its base. Kandy comes next — a chance to slow down, visit the Temple of the Tooth, and take in the city’s markets and lake.
From Kandy, the route climbs into Nuwara Eliya’s tea country, then continues on one of the most scenic rail journeys anywhere — the line down to Ella, cutting through waterfalls, tea estates, and mountain ridges the whole way.
The trip closes on the coast in Bentota, giving you a couple of days to simply do nothing after a week of moving. It’s a route made for people who want their culture and their nature in equal amounts.
